History
Ferndale Table Tennis club was first established as a TTk Greenhouse academy in 2007. The academy was overseen by Welsh International player Stephen Gertsen he was at the academy for 3 and a half years and had great success during his time here. Then ex-Scottish Junior International player Scott Johnston who was assistant coach at old TTk school Tonypandy and had previously helped Stephen with his coaching duties at Ferndale took over. Scott was in the position for a year. Scott moved on but the club has again managed to get a new coach who is going to continue to allow the club to grow. Gwyn Carvill from Bridgend TT club has now taken over at the school and will hopefully use his knowledge of the game and links within welsh table tennis to help the club go from strength to strength.

Half-Term Training
The school sessions for Half-Term will be running on the 31st of May and 1st of June in the Barn at Ferndale from 11am-2pm. Any Ferndale players attending must have a signed consent form the day of the training. These forms can be collected in the E3 office or with Scott. Make sure you get these signed so that you can attend.
May the 30th Training Day Cancelled
Sadly the training day arranged for Bank Holiday Monday the 30th has been cancelled. We were hoping to run another fantastic training day but with 2 other coaches, players and practise partners withdrawing it is better if we cancel the day and re-arrange soon so that everybody who attends will get the best out of the day. Kepp an eye on the blog for further information.

Bag Packing to Raise Funds
A fund raising event has been organised for the 18th of June at Morrison's in Porth. The event will run from 9am until 3pm. It would be great for all players to attend the day as these funds will hopefully be used for further training camps home and abroad along with funding entries for tournaments like Welsh league.
