History

Ferndale Table Tennis club was first established as a TTk Greenhouse academy in 2007. The academy was overseen by Welsh International player Stephen Gertsen he was at the academy for 3 and a half years and had great success during his time here. Then ex-Scottish Junior International player Scott Johnston who was assistant coach at old TTk school Tonypandy and had previously helped Stephen with his coaching duties at Ferndale took over. Scott was in the position for a year. Scott moved on but the club has again managed to get a new coach who is going to continue to allow the club to grow. Gwyn Carvill from Bridgend TT club has now taken over at the school and will hopefully use his knowledge of the game and links within welsh table tennis to help the club go from strength to strength.

Another Welsh Selection

Congratulations to Liam Winder for getting another Wales selection. He will be travelling to the Stockton-on-Tees 4* event at the end of October. This is a great even that allows players to play in a team event on the Saturday and singles on the Sunday. Good luck Liam
