History

Ferndale Table Tennis club was first established as a TTk Greenhouse academy in 2007. The academy was overseen by Welsh International player Stephen Gertsen he was at the academy for 3 and a half years and had great success during his time here. Then ex-Scottish Junior International player Scott Johnston who was assistant coach at old TTk school Tonypandy and had previously helped Stephen with his coaching duties at Ferndale took over. Scott was in the position for a year. Scott moved on but the club has again managed to get a new coach who is going to continue to allow the club to grow. Gwyn Carvill from Bridgend TT club has now taken over at the school and will hopefully use his knowledge of the game and links within welsh table tennis to help the club go from strength to strength.

Junior 6 Nations Isle Of Man

Chris Griffiths will be representing Wales this weekend in the Junior 6 nations in Isle of Man. Even though Chris is still in the Under 15 age group he will be playing in the Under 18 team event with Alex Prosser from Tonypandy. This will be a very tough event for Chris but will give him some more valuable International experience. Chris will hopefully be able to play in the Under 15 singles event on the Sunday.
